The history of Wanzl is a history of permanent innovations. Around 1950, Rudolf Wanzl
invented the original shopping trolley in a form which has hardly been changed since
then. The production numbers then quickly grew. Today Wanzl is the largest producer
of shopping trolleys in the world. Each year around 1.8 million pieces are produced and sold with a diversity of model variations.
For decades, at our company new groundbreaking developments pertaining to
comfortable shopping and selling have emerged which have set standards and today
for customers around the world are considered to be a matter of course. We have thus become the partner to globally operating chains and have also applied the quality brand term Wanzl to new areas of use in other branches.
At the centre of our work are solutions which accommodate the individual customer
needs and fulfill high demands. This way of thinking has brought us economic success
and has allowed the original metal goods factory to become a company of the current size.
Today we employ more than 3000 employees in seven production areas in Germany
and France, the Czech Republic and China. Branch offices and representatives around
the world secure our proximity to the customers which we have made to a calling card of our company from the first day on. |
